IMPORTANT COVID INFORMATION FOR YOWANI MEMBERS AND INTERSTATE VISITORS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yowani Country Club has taken the very difficult decision to adjust the Club\u2019s golf course, and clubhouse access entry rules to ensure only members, member\u2019s guests and visitors from non-COVID infected areas are permitted to access the Club\u2019s facilities until further notice.<\/p>\n

Members and Visitors<\/strong>\u00a0that reside in\u00a0any<\/b>\u00a0declared COVID infected areas (as published by the\u00a0ACT<\/a>\u00a0and\/or\u00a0NSW Health<\/a>\u00a0websites) are asked not to attend and\/or use any of the Club\u2019s facilities at this time.<\/p>\n

Members and Visitors<\/strong>\u00a0that do not reside in\u00a0any<\/b>\u00a0other declared COVID infected areas (as per the above websites), but are returning to the ACT from those areas or have knowingly come into contact with anyone that resides or has visited a declared COVID infected area, are asked not to attend Yowani for a period of 14 days after leaving those areas.<\/p>\n

Yowani reserves the right to refuse access to any of the club\u2019s facilities to any person that refuses to provide proof of residency when requested to do so or refuses or misleads Yowani staff when requesting information regarding recent travel to published COVID infected areas.<\/p>\n

It is not Yowani\u2019s intention to cause offence and we realise this is a difficult message, but we have a responsibility to implement these measures to best protect our members and staff during these uncertain times.<\/p>\n

FURTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON COVID-19

Yowani is continuing to tailor it\u2019s operations to keep in line with Government rules and regulations around \u201csocial distancing\u201d and \u201cmass gatherings\u201d. Below is some important information on changes that have been implemented to maximise the safety and well being of Yowani Members and Staff, including Pro Shop Staff.<\/p>\n

YOWANI\u2019S \u201cRETURNING TO GOLF \u2013 GUIDELINES (FRAMEWORK)\u201d IS AVAILABLE<\/strong>\u00a0HERE<\/a><\/p>\n

GENERAL ADVICE<\/strong><\/p>\n

PLEASE CONTINUE TO OBSERVE AND PRACTICE ENHANCED HYGIENE MEASURES FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL MEMBERS AND STAFF AND, MOST IMPORTANTLY, STAY AWAY FROM YOWANI IF YOU ARE FEELING UNWELL, REGARDLESS OF THE SYMPTOMS. IT IS ALSO VITALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU SELF-ISOLATE IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES IF YOU HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO SOMEONE SUFFERING FROM COVID-19 OR IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY RETURNED FROM OVERSEAS.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/i><\/b>PLEASE CONTACT THE CLUB IMMEDIATELY (CLUB@YOWANI.COM.AU<\/a>) IF YOU HAVE TESTED POSITIVE TO COVID-19\u00a0 AND HAVE VISITED THE CLUB IN THE LEAD UP TO YOUR POSITIVE DIAGNOSIS.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/i><\/b>GOVERNMENTS HAVE ADVISED ALL PEOPLE OVER THE AGE OF 70 TO REMAIN AT HOME WHENEVER POSSIBLE. ALTHOUGH GOLF IS AN IMPORTANT METHOD OF EXERCISE AND RECREATION FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS, YOWANI STRONGLY URGES ANY MEMBER OVER THE AGE OF 70 TO CONSIDER THIS ADVICE PRIOR TO BOOKING A COMPETITION TEE TIME OR ENJOYING A ROLL-UP.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

SOCIAL GOLF
<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the exception of the above notice regarding interstate visitor restrictions to Yowani,\u00a0social golf<\/strong>\u00a0is available\u00a0but\u00a0<\/strong>bookings are\u00a0ESSENTIAL \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>please phone the Pro Shop (6228 9745) well in advance to book your social round. Non-members are required to provide contact details for tracing purposes.<\/p>\n

COMPETITION GOLF<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yowani Competition Changes
<\/b><\/p>\n

Yowani Country Club will continue to implement the advice and rules set by the Australian and ACT Governments relating to COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Due to current \u201cReturning to Sport\u201d rules, competition golf at Yowani has effectively returned to normal subject to\u00a0social gathering<\/u><\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0social distancing<\/u><\/b>\u00a0protocols whilst participating in outdoor pursuits. The previously adopted Temporary Rules of Golf will remain in place for the safety of all participants and staff.<\/p>\n

PERSONAL HYGIENE REQUIREMENTS

\u00a0<\/strong>Members will be aware of the considerable reporting on the Coronavirus that is occurring and should keep themselves informed about government health advice. This advice is available\u00a0Here<\/a><\/p>\n

In this regard there are a number of simple measures we can all take to minimise the potential for contracting or spreading\u00a0 the infection. These include:<\/p>\n
